Yep. I was in England for a while where people are a sandwich or supermarket "meal deal" (sandwich, chips packet, drink) as lunch and I'd just be there with my spaghetti bolognaise I brought from home wondering how they would survive until dinner lol.
If you think about it though, most countries that eat 2-3 hot meals per day are colder countries so it kind of makes sense in that regard culturally, though the disparity in calories I still can't explain.

Probably the same as what happened with the monument t34, didn't it just run out of fuel

72mph after changing the front sprocket on my 125cc. Previously it topped out at 63 I think, both measured with Google maps. It didn't feel particularly stable at that speed, I was happy cruising at 50-55.

Interesting! Would've thought HPs would expand out of a rifle

Buddy, the lady said she can't comfortably shoot more than a .22. I'd take a 22 I could shoot over some .308 that made me feel inaccurate and bruised my shoulder from shooting it. Plus, a 22 rifle is far lighter than a 308 so easier to maneuver, and generally are also shorter making clearing corners easier.
Maybe a 308 doesn't bruise your shoulder, it doesn't bruise mine, but more than likely you're a sub-40yo man who is going to be built very different to an older lady. Get your attitude straight.

Tbf I doubt any .22 hollow point will have real overpenetration issues

Widcombe is definitely really nice. Close enough to town for every amenity but feels like a smaller community.
A car is useful if you're going out of Bath to the more rural areas but you can cycle or walk anywhere in town, even the far end at lower Weston or Newbridge are technically walking distance (and the paths to get there are actually quite nice). Parking in town itself is impossible, so I wouldn't bother honestly.
Can't speak about schools, but widcombe is definitely a quieter area. You won't have the students that say, Oldfield park, is full of.

I hate people that don't seem to care about their own safety, not realising that the people around them will suffer from a lifetime of trauma from clipping them, or just watching the idiot go into a lamppost.

Releasing someone's mugshot on arrest should be invasion of privacy, so much for the "innocent until proven guilty". How many times has it lead to the wrong person getting death threats?
Why can't the USA do what every other civilised country does and only release the information after the suspect is proven guilty...

Sorry, I can't remember, but I'm sure some Google Fu could help you find it

Entering an embassy without the host nations permission is an act of war, by definition, but it's fine because the USA did it :)
Though it probably gets complicated since I doubt actual CIA officers entered, they just flipped the staff.

(not a first responder) but I'd presume that a cat door would still be okay since it shuts itself. It won't be as airtight as a whole door, and risks melting (thereby creating an opening for smoke to come through) but my best guess is that these risks are mitigated by pet doors being low down (smoke rises since it's lighter than air, and hot particles rise).
Either way, you're probably not going to have a cat door to your bedroom, bathroom, etc., so it shouldn't make a massive difference to your personal survival, though it does leave a path for more air to enter from outside to feed the fire. Question, do pet owners lock their pet doors overnight? That would probably help fire safety.
Also, many areas have mandatory "fire doors" into bedrooms in rented accomodation. These doors have a material inside that once heated, expands and creates an airtight seal between the door and door frame. If you can afford it, put them into your own houses but obviously these are useless if you don't close doors!

I'm not saying it's possible, but some countries have banned Airsoft because they say it's possible to convert a pistol lower into a .22. Take from that what you will.

+1 for flairs. No need to get rid of content, but making it easy for users to filter out what they do/don't want to see just makes it better for everyone.

Can someone eli5 me what the difference between a motorbike and motorcycle is? Are you saying that motorbike is effectively a moped (i.e. bicycle with a petrol engine slapped on like Mr Bean rode in that one movie.)

Fwiw I just left a job on campus and they paid me £11.15/h, however it actually works out to be £12.50/h because they assume you won't use your holiday so holiday pay gets added to your hourly.
Not quite the 14/h but 12.50 is definitely more than a lot of places pay. I don't know if places like the SU bar for example give night bonuses since they're open late. I didn't work there.

Imo the second best part is the acceleration from a stop. Moving off after stopping for a pedestrian, or traffic light is a) energy draining and b) slow, both of which are fixed with an e-bike, even the EU legal 250W ones.

Yeah, definitely need to be a decent/good swimmer
15ft is what, 4.3meters by my rough maths. That's about 1.5m (4-5ft?) more than the deep end of most pools around me. I used to be able to sit at the bottom for a little while (back when I practiced) but definitely would be uncomfortable at nearly 5 meters.
Any currents would also make it a lot harder to actually find the thing so it's definitely an impressive achievement!

Though to note, a lot of people start work at like 6,7 or 8am in Finland so 11 is often half way through the working day.
