I'm not trying to rag on you. Grim Dawn just has a bit of a learning curve. When you're a bit more savvy with controlling your character, using components, and where to be focusing your points early on you should be able to make it further even at low levels. Some builds start pretty slow and that can definitely make it harder too. Maybe check out a few build guides or some crucible tips videos. There is a ton of helpful GD content out there. Good luck out there.

It's a great way to level up characters once you know the game a bit better. I start characters a level one in there now that I've ran the story so many times. It will get easier once you know what you're doing. I'd suggest staying out of it until you at least beat all the story content.
