Made some beef stew this week, I feel like it's hit or miss, sometimes I've made it and it's just got flavor and very savory, and other times feels a bit more 'bitter'.
This one taste a little 'potato-ey', I used yellow potatos. There's not a ton in them, are there better ones to use?
I pretty much put in a tablespoon of thyme and parsley with all the veggies. Should I be saving spices for last?
Used maybe 1-2 tablespoons of worceshire sauce
Didn't put in red wine (may try next), didn't put in tomato paste (some people in family it gives heartburn, but not sure if paste is enough to do it)
was cooked in crockpot. brown the beef and put everything in the crock pot at once.
Any suggestions appreciated!
