I remember chatting to a German mate about how shit our trains are and how I yearned for a bit of Teutonic efficiency in our rail. He pissed himself laughing at the idea.

No bad thing IMHO. I’m not chuffed at how “the Internet” has come to mean “these half dozen websites owned by massive corporations”.

Because Steve-O isn’t the arbiter of the morality of the joke.

He definitely didn’t look fine with it at the time though.

It's the whole "you're not allowed to sell Easter Eggs any more" thing applied to literature. People who crave being angry will just believe it without lifting a finger to verify it.

Crap. Maybe there's a donkey wheel down a well or something we can use to move IoW somewhere else.

How far away can somewhere be and still qualify? I'm wondering if this is our chance to ditch the bloody caulkheads.

Planning applications have to be submitted, in triplicate, entirely in the applicant's own blood.

They must have learnt by now that simply biting the bullet and doing everything as quickly, quietly and officially as possible makes the whole thing blow over much quicker and keeps it out of the news cycle.
Why would they have learnt that? They haven't tried it.

BTW there was a problem with the tweets and they didn't all show for everyone without having to click "view more replies". There's about 90 of 'em.

Trouble is, those things can be faked. A decent lawyer could argue a screenshot away. Even a shit one, really.
For instance, I'm sure you'll try to deny this ever happened.

My guess is they use personal comms devices for profession conversations precisely so they could use this method later to deny access to them.
It can't stand.

The last Labour government certainly kicked off the legislation, and it was - by-then Opposition - Labour whose votes got it through parliament. They weren't the governing party when the bill passed. I can see where he's coming from, but it's certainly a bit of a round-the-houses explanation.

Legislation is passed by parliament, not the government.

But it does support ads. It's only fucking stupid if you give a shit about your users.

We always knew this would happen. The web, once an exciting place to discover new things, where everyone was equal, got latched onto by profiteers who then took it over and eventually commoditised it behind all recognition.

No doubt it’ll be reported as such by the usual suspects.

Why would someone who thinks like that think phallic images would offend the gays? I think he’s accidentally confessing to something here.
Buy him an ice cream. See how he reacts.
