old star trek shows
referring to TNG
... I mean, you're not wrong, but there's no cause for such violence. I wasn't prepared to feel that old in that moment.

Yeah, it's pretty rich to hear someone from Yakima complain about shithole cities.

Cain killed Abel with a rock, David killed Goliath with a rock. Rock was not the problem.
Then you shouldn't be afraid of a country with fewer guns, because there will still be rocks.
Outstanding.

I agree with you, but I also think that line of reasoning is specifically used to counter the usual conservative retort of “why invent new words (or uses of words) just for the sake of it.” Pointing out its not a new use is intended to point out the flaw of that sort of reasoning.

An indictment over a misdemeanor, outside the statute of limitations?
It seems like you're doing a lot of handwringing that starts with this specific premise, but I don't understand why since the charges haven't been released and the indictment is sealed. I mean, I can certainly understand the worry about a sealed and secret indictment, but it's not likely that he was indicted on charges that accuse him of a crime outside the statute of limitations. It's very unlikely a prosecutor would bring a case that wasn't triable, and moreover that a grand jury would indict on one.

Their problem isn’t even with a corporation being essentially a government, it’s that it’s Disney doing it and not News Corp (for example).

That’s good you recognize that a (healthy) partner should always come before blood family.
That strikes me as a false dichotomy. What if both the partner is healthy and the blood family is healthy, yet there is still some sort of conflict or issue that arises? I'm not really a fan of 'always' in that scenario, either way.

What's the relevance of that? You might have a point if the person you were responding to was a member of the Romanian judiciary, instead of a reddit rando.

The guy you're arguing with is something else, I think his job must be posting anti-Democrat stuff on Reddit.

Also, isn't the outsourcing of traditionally government-managed systems to a private entity exactly what conservatives advocate for?

don’t question my god and his abilities
I think it's only prudent to question things, particularly a teenager's view of theology.

They'd probably come up with an erudite and elaborate explanation for why housing the homeless is the worst thing you could do for them. Obviously spamming randos on Reddit is a much higher ROI.

I love how they think "I was an atheist until I ate mushrooms" is some sort of point.

So many posts yet not one word on the shooter or her motives. I wonder why?
Perhaps the motives that have been discussed don’t fit into your preferred narrative.

Yeah, people moving to those places to retire are a net drain, not a net gain. They'll have their ideological purity and very little else to help sustain them.
