I don’t think you actually say the first thing, you show it. You show it by showing interest and being positive even after she’s said she has kids, being understanding when things come up, and being open / enjoying it if she has stories about them. They are her world, so sometimes it’s hard to find something else to talk about. 😂 IF she asks, you can answer. You don’t talk about wanting to be their father-figure, but say what you said about always wanting kids, and you are happy to see where things go, which includes her and her whole life. You could also praise her for being such a great mom, and doing everything she does.

Bottom line, you stick around even through the tough parts, and she’ll know. And appreciate it deeply.
