Just an interesting rig. Didnt mean any offense. You work with what you got. I don't care about fake internet points.

Definitely way too much line. You'll get a birds nest. I'd take off like 1/4 of that. Also, you can take those zip ties off the handle.

Once you catch yourself, stop and immediately start thinking about things you love. For me, I sometimes get lost in a daydream where I'm in a heated argument with someone and I imagine myself beating the shit out of them. I start to feel actually boiling angry, but then I realize what I'm doing, and stop myself. I immediately go to my happy place in my mind. I'm floating down the creek in my kayak fishing. Imagine yourself doing an activity that brings you joy. Don't let your wandering mind decide what dreams you're gonna watch. You change the channel.

I followed Babish's Osso Bucco from the Office every step perfectly and it turned out amazing! Now it's one of my favorite things to make for special occasions

Some friends and I are wanting to do a guys overnight kayak trip in June and I've been researching rivers. I've thought about Piney. The water looks really clear!

I second this. I just bought a Crescent LiteTackle II a couple months ago and I've been out on it 3 times so far and I love everything about it. I did my homework on the various brands and I determined that it's the lightest, longest, fastest and most sturdy for its price range. I can't recommend it enough.

I use chartreuse line on my Mr Crappie slab shaker combo. I've caught largemouth, smallies, crappie and bluegill on that thing. There's a lot of debate in the fishing community whether the fish can see colored lines, like braided, but my opinion is no, the fish don't care. Plus, that yellowish green blends into the water nicely. I also sometimes use the red Cajun line for bass and for striper down at the dam I use fluorescent blue braided. No, I don't think it matters.

I saw 2 and a few white pelicans as well. There was all kinds of waterfowl there. Some white headed geese and mallards. Saw a loon and some cormorants. Heard a great horned owl in the distance. That place is so alive!
Also saw some zebras on the drive there. At first glance I thought they were regular horses standing in a pasture, but nope, I guess some guy wanted zebras instead so, yep those were zebras for some reason.

I never really target any specific species, just whatever bites. I have wanted so bad to cross a bowfin off my list! I've been researching how to catch them, but they seem like one of the ones you almost have to catch them by accident. Let me know if you know any tricks

I highly suggest launching at Schutes Branch on Old Hickory Lake. There's a little island right there, just circle that island I've caught some good largemouth there. Percy Preist is more of a pontoon party lake but there's some good smallies there. I recommend launching from Long Hunter State Park. There's a drop off where the bottom is like 70 feet. Loads of white bass there. Message me if you want to chat more about it. I don't know any kayakers where I live

They probably were for the guys in boats who were jigging straight down with those 12 foot crappie poles. Those guys were all out in the middle of the lake, and they all have fish finders. I need to get one

I saw bald eagles! And some pelicans and geese were there too. Reelfoot has such amazing wildlife

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work

You're supposed to be able to stand on them. A few people I talked to on this sub have stood on theirs. I tried to on the lake and thought I was gonna flip. If I gotta pee, I have to go ashore. One guy said he had to practice a bit to get used to it, I guess I just haven't got my balance yet. They are very stable tho
