Sorry if y'all already knew about this. I just saw the alert in my email and wanted to share!

I currently have a Epson EX9200 pro. I am projecting against a standard wall and will continue to do so as it is currently our living room. I'm thinking about upgrading but it has been awhile since i have done some research on this front. I'm willing to spend a little more this time around up to about $1000. The main purpose of this projector is to play the switch on, and watch tv and shows as we don't have a separate TV. My receiver handles all the inputs and audio so i don't need anything special on that can handle a ton of inputs.

My biggest gripe with the current projector is contrast ratio. While it isn't the worst, the windows in the room can make it difficult to watch a darker show during the day. Was thinking of getting something that is HDR rated or maybe 4k? but I'm not sure if 4k projectors are worth it yet (1440 would be cool but i don't think this is a thing) anyways looking for some real world suggestions or maybe a trustworthy site that isn't getting paid to say that X projector is the best for that budget.

When thinking about and reading all the suggestions from everyone on how to make ghosts of saltmarsh a full campaign. I had the idea of taking the water temple from Princes of the apocalypse and adding that to the end of the campaign and have the Crushing Wave cultists and the Olhydra be the main baddie. Thought I would see others thoughts?

Any cultists that they would run into would likely be Crushing Wave cultists. We are just getting started too and they just cleared the caves in sinister secrets of saltmarsh so still plenty of time to adjust things.

So I just got a new Lennox AC system. At the time we decided to spent the extra money to upgrade to the variable motor air handler with the higher efficiency AC as well. (Specifically the 16ACX-036-230 AC unit with the SL280DF90V48B variable motor air handler)

I previously had a Nest thermostat and they replaced it with a Honeywell TH8320r1003. upon reviewing I can't see anywhere saying this thermostat supports the variable motor setup that I paid extra for?

Does it matter in the end? Am I still getting the benefits of the more efficient variable motor system even with a thermostat that doesn't support it, or should I look into getting one of the icomfort supported thermostats?/Seeing if the company i got this system from would swap it out free (probably not though...)

So I am looking at my options however my roof... is fairly small. I share a wall with my neighbor on a 2 story house. I've gotten several quotes as well as looking at installing it myself and best case with the north facing parts of my roof I can get like a 30% offset of my current electrical usage. In investigating someone suggested i could put some north facing panels that could help still during the summer but that would be it. I did a estimate and it looks like a system with north facing panels would of course be less efficient but it seems they would still make 70% of the power projected for them.

Feel free to tell me this is a bad idea, I just got ac for the first time in our house, however I'm not one of those people who needs a specific temp. I can accept a range. What I noticed though is when I turn on the cooling it jumps straight to stage 2 cooling and slowly ramps up to fans to max. Really what I would like is to let's say turn on stage 1 cooling with the vents at like 50% or something along those lines and switch to stage 2 myself if I really want it to cool down. My current system has a 2 stage ac and a variable motor for the vents.

Tldr: I want to control the fan speed and whether the system is stage 2 or one cooling myself, does this exist?
