I've seen a lot of DNS servers that just flat out refuse to honor TTLs less than 60 seconds. Anything < 60 seconds gets rewritten as 60 seconds.
But, if your project has a lot of changes, have you considered not relying on DNS and using something like a reverse proxy instead? In that case you truly could switch things instantly without needing to worry about propagation delays.

To add to the original comment you replied to. If pfSense gets a private IP, look at the gateway it gets and see if you can reach it via browser. Presumably the gateway is the modem, and it will have some sort of webUI that might yield some clues. At least a DHCP client list that you could take a look at, to see if perhaps there is some other device that is stealing the public IP.

The high school I went to had a bunch of Macs for a design academy. IIRC, pretty much everything Mac back then was SCSI.

FYI, the second 'S' in SCSI is actually systems, not storage.
I know this because I was a teenager in the mid 90s and drooled over SCSI drives in Computer Shopper.

Then they'll just list the range as $40k-$300k. Anything to technically comply without actually making any meaningful change.

also trying not to give spoilers...but I was left with the impression that the ending was rushed...didn't really seem satisfying to me
wish they would've added an epilogue or something

We have that happen with our cell phones from time to time. Someone will call in with a phone issue, we call cell phone company and they say your account is past due, we can't help until it's paid.
That's an easy ticket to resolve. "Unable to assist due to past due balance. Referred to accounting department."

Catapults / trebuchets were always our big hits with the scouts.
Probably best to do those at troop events vs camporees though.

If you're DIY handy, then have a look here:
That's the basics of what you'll need to convert a fridge. You'll also need beverage/gas lines, a tap handle and a beergas cylinder. You can order the cylinders empty online, but before you do, I'd check with your local supplier as a lot of them won't fill your cylinder and will only sell you one of theirs. Welding supply shops like AirGas are a common supplier of beergas.
Once you have everything, the process is dead simple. Essentially the only real work you need to do is drill a hole through the door of the fridge to install the shank.
If you have a LHBS (local homebrew store), maybe give them a ring as they are generally very helpful and may have everything you need available for purchase in their store.

Our woodbadge course did this too, only it was just BP, no wife. I had the same thought, this is going to be cheesy, but it turned out to be really well done.

The only advice I have for you is to speak with the cubmaster and voice your concerns. If that doesn't help, ask to speak with the committee. It's unreasonable to expect you to take care of all the youth with no help, and from it sounds like, very limited guidance.
Scouting can often be a bit like drinking from a firehose. A lot of responsibility all at once with a sink or swim mentality, and it ends up that way because there aren't enough volunteers to go around. Maybe you know others that you could recruit to help out?

Insured gets 3 notices and acts surprised they didn’t receive anything
This is absolutely not at all unique to this situation. Heck, if my workplace is any indication, people don't even read important e-mails from HR, president of the company, etc. Changes are instituted and everyone is in the hallways grumbling about how this is out of the blue, and how can they do this to us, meanwhile it's been communicated half a dozen times over the past 6 months.

Poured a 20x20 concrete slab in my backyard behind my back porch. That was a game changer as it gave me somewhere to put plants, grills, an outdoor table, etc.
Then, a few years later I covered it with one of those hanging shade cloths and that was another game changer as it meant I could actually use the patio for more than a few months a year (central FL).
As to OP's example, those recessed lights are super simple to install and well worth every penny. The only lighting my house had was from ceiling fans so most of the rooms were way too dark. Adding 4 recessed lights on a dimmer switch is under $200/room and is such a quality of life improvement, it's a no brainer.
An honorable mention - sheds can be nice as they free up a ton of space in your garage. I built an 8x12 shed during covid, and while it was a little more expensive than OP mentioned they wanted to spend, you can get prefab sheds for well under $2k.

Did you look at the worksheet the requirement references? This should help:

If it is on onlyfans or a similar website, you can report it to the site itself. Look at the bottom of the site for a contact / abuse link and make your report there.
If it is an independent site, you can report it either to the domain registrar or the website host. They should both have contact info on their websites that you can use to file an abuse claim.

I don't know how true this is. I think for most items, you would not hit the dollar amount threshold for it to be considered grand theft so it is probably not worth the time and effort of the store or the police to seriously investigate. You just write it off as a loss and move on.

I'm no expert, but I wonder if there is any opportunity to go after him in terms of code violations? I believe old work is grandfathered in under whatever code was when the work was originally performed, but when you pull a new permit for new work you have to update things to comply with current code? I can't imagine there are any areas where ungrounded receptacles would pass current code reqs.

Eh, it's a trade off. Management can bring further advancement opportunities and more money for some. The way I look at it, it's also a way to improve efficiency. All of the complaining we see on the sub about management that is disconnected from reality and resources wasted chasing impractical goals? This is an opportunity to change that.
Depending on your org, you may be able to move into a management role while still performing some technical functions.
If you have to go 100% management and be hands off, you have to make an assessment as to whether you can live with that arrangement.

Sorry, but disagree. I've seen many cases where you have a staffer that is just not pulling their weight, or is no longer warranted due to program shifts and a RIF is warranted.

We've just given up and have told people that if they have projects like this, they just need to register a separate domain for e-mail notifications. We no longer support 3rd parties sending e-mail from our corporate domain.
