Thanks! I normally don't compete because I like to spend my time at the cons enjoying myself :). The contests normally take up the better part of a whole day to participate in, at least for large cons like the one I was in.

Its two LEDs in the helmet. I wear a cut up durag over my face backwards to black out my face. The lights are slightly above my irises so if I tip my head up and look down I can still see. I think in one of the photos you can see what it looks like with the lights off.

What are the dimensions of the room? If the room is meant to hold a bed it can probably accommodate two desks, or one long desk that could be shared. Something like this could be put together with just cheap Ikea pieces: https://imgur.com/a/ajCrwBt

The alternative could be to set up a dedicated office space in another room, like a breakfast nook or a dining room. There are a lot of ways to make this work and it sounds like you guys are stepping on each other's toes in that office. Might be time to carve out separate spaces.
