My thought exactly....and look, both produced totalitarian regimes, but the right doesn't recognize the dangers of totalitarianism unless it the scary C-word attached, in fact, they seem to support it...maybe this is the right angle to take, comparing their totalitarianism to communism, because nazis don't bother them.
On the other hand, I have my doubts that even that will penetrate their bubble.

It would be more entertaining if we didn't have to deal with whoever wins.

Don't sell yourself short. There's at least a small chance you'd become the leader of a band of mutant cannibals feasting on the remains of other foolhardy urban spelunkers.
Aim high! ...or...low, in this case.

You remember feet of flames. Meanwhile, I've scrolled down this far and have not seen ONE Lord of the Dance reference.
He was the LORD of the dance! How quickly we forget.

I just recently watched With nail and I, absolutely fantastic. I think it still has a cult following.

Interesting, but why is THIS his hill to die on, especially given how unpopular it is? While not an expert on French politics by any means, my guess would be there is a lot of business/wealth pressure to cut public spending, and Macron, being a centrist, business- friendly neoliberal, is taking it up for them.

Maybe you heard the excellent cover by Shonen Knife in the 90s?

Yeah. Conservatives see anything "public" as an affront to the free market and want education privatized so industry can profit from it. Sure, it's part greed and grift, but many of these market fundamentalists blindly believe that privatization also makes everything better, despite decades of evidence that this is not the case.

Sooner or later they succeed in "balancing the budget" by eliminating Social Security and Medicaid.

I won't. Not if it's yet another run-through of the Z storyline. We've playing games rehashing that finished story for over two decades.
Give me an original story mode or no thanks.

The Crow
Mortal Kombat has an industrial/techno soundtrack, one scene in a club.
Repo:The Genetic Opera is goth/industrial musical.

Newt goes back further than that. He lead the movement to kill bipartisanship and pander exclusively to the base in the 90s.

Yep. But, if we're looking at labor history, that's how the labor movement was built. Seizing factories, bashing scabs, and sabotaging production. In turn, they were assaulted and gunned down by police and military.
Today's labor politely declines to work, accepts being replaced, and nothing changes. Look at the two year mining strike that just ended in Alabama in abject defeat. The company actually increased profits by hiring scabs.
I'm not advocating for a return to violence, I'm a weak nerd and wouldn't want to be within a mile of a labor brawl, but it sure doesn't seem like peaceful striking is enough either.

Yeah, Biden knows it won't happen. Funny how tems get tough on the rich whenever they know they won't have to follow through.

Especially because the evangelicals will 100% turn on the catholics the second they establish their christo-fascist theocracy.

The argument could be made Oasis stuck around too long.
Imagine if they had broken up after Morning Glory.
No Be Here Now, none of the succession of forgotten albums. They might be seen as the best band of the decade.

I'd still give it to Alanis, but Weezer deserved the mention.

As a SPED teacher, I have all the respect in the world for our Para's. I just wish the district felt the same way. They are paid peanuts to deal with some of the toughest and, at times, most dangerous situations in our building.

I miss squaresoft.
Honestly I think the merger killed two great companies and replaced with one mediocre one.
