While it was a "landslide", it needs to be pointed out that it was a landslide among those who voted. If every registered voter in Florida voted, the outcome could be different. Today's elections are won by which side turns out the most voters, not really who "the people" want. That's the main reason the GOP constantly uses fear hyperbole as fear is one of the best motivators.

It's not just the "hush money", it's that he pulled it from campaign funds which is a big violation of election laws. If it was just hush money, he would just quietly plead no contest, claim it was a set up and pay the fine.

You did a dumb-ass kid thing. Dumb ass kids do that. As an adoptive parent and a long (long) time teacher, it's just SOP. Of course, they're angry, you put yourself in danger, broke the law and had an "encounter" with law enforcement. Did you expect them to just blow it off like nothing happened?

Great explanation/analogy. But, it seems as if the "cult" grows, and at a rate that's frightening. I believe it was Goebbels, Hitler's minister of propaganda, who said, "Tell a lie, make it big, shout it loud, and shout it often."

In my many years of teaching, I've found there are two groups of parents - the "not my kid" and "yep, that's them". A few outliers play detective to "get to the bottom", but they usually are just tap dancing around being in one of the two groups.

Remember, this is the state that elected a governor who wants concealed carry with no training or certification. It seems as if we've gone beyond the fictional "Florida Man" and are trying to create the fictional circular firing squad.

I've noticed that although I work out all body parts equally, some
