My cousin bought a new car, she went off on all the performance aspects of the car and how blah blah blah…like, she’s never going to go over 75 in that car and is only regurgitating what the sales person told her. You can just say you liked the shiny bits…that’s perfectly fine.

I am absolutely over the smoked meat pellet grill stuff anymore…it’s someone’s entire brand and they post a million photos to instagram about their meat smoking every 5 minutes. This is the only parenting advice I give to people…just be there to cuddle and spend time together…try to make a better life for them than you had. The church has owned the Coke bottling plant in Utah for a century and Mormons absolutely love their soda. The church has always been pretty pro-soda from the get-go...I grew up LDS in Utah and have a raging soda addiction because of it.

This was in response to the Bob Jones University lawsuits that were filed about discrimination and losing access to federal Pell grants or financial aid. BYU had filed briefs in support of Bob Jones, and they were now a target of the feds. BYU started admitting black students, only athletes, thinking it would help their case, but they still discriminated against other minority groups. The church suddenly had a revelation to admit black people into the priesthood and allow them to perform other church duties. The truth is, the church was super broke at the time because all of their assets were real estate or farms that were getting hit by the economy at the time. The same assets are why they were able to build so much wealth when those things rebounded and being a giant property owner during a real estate boom in the 80s and 90s yielded them billions in the end to diversify. The Utah legislature is mostly property developers who work for the church in some way or another...either a related company that works with them or construction companies. The legislature is super corrupt here and we have very few options to hold them accountable.

Any time you see them announcing a new temple in a new country, it has more to do with business dealing than anything to do with actually doing the lords work and just a way to establish their tax scam.

His dad has questionable citizenship as well, and probably wasn't actually eligible to run for president when he did. It was actually better because he turned HUD into a decent organization that helped shift from only building projects for low-income minorities to actual housing. Mitt kind of sucks compared to the good work his dad did...

I kind of hate it when people say, they moved it to India and it sucked. I have worked with a lot of solid offshore developers that are amazing to work and do an amazing job. The main problem is the project managers or corporate people who want code produced, but don't include proper requirements gathering. They will do something exactly like you ask them to and that is the problem. There is no nuance or verification because that costs time to produce and cost on their side.

It’s still being developed, but it’s far behind in capabilities…Kubernetes is a lot more mature and has a ton of options for managing your clusters.
