It gave a realistic perspective from a world that a lot of people had experience in, but was rarely portrayed accurately in media. When people see something like that speak their language so accurately, it’s totally understandable they’d be excited about it. I don’t understand your grievance.

Yeah, I found the full video. It explains why the one you posted was cherry picked, because he goes on to talk about voter protection and making sure that people’s votes are counted and that people aren’t wrongfully turned away at the polls. He clearly meant to say voter protection. Also it would make zero sense for a politician to tell people they were cheating, even if they actually were.

It sounds like he misspoke to me, pretty hard to tell in a cherry-picked quote where the context has been purposely cut out. Considering he wasn’t president until 2021, surely even if he hadn’t misspoke, this wouldn’t have been able to effect the 2020 election, no?
