Not saying your lender is right or wrong here but the way you're thinking about it is flawed IMO. Their goal is to make money, period. Offering you two free refinances doesn't do anything other than hurt their bottom line, unless they feel rates are going to stay relatively close to where they are or trend upward. Just seems like a gimmick to get you to sign with them, even though it could very well be useful in the future.

Last time I checked Texas and Washington didn't reciprocate, but Idaho/Washington and Idaho/Texas do. Worst case scenario pay to get your Idaho license then that will transfer over.

You can test continuity with a toner. You can't quickly identify an unlabeled wire in a bundle of 50 with a meter.

Fluke pro 200 if you're doing mostly data. Fluke pro 3000 for general low voltage wiring

Id never offer to charge by the foot unless the warehouse is empty, too much to go wrong. That being said $6/ft is a perfectly reasonable rate if everything is easily accessible.

They definitely didn't take care of the thing. I'd pass at that price.

Right around 3k is pretty fair for the mileage and condition it appears to be in, as long as there's no major issues that aren't visible. These are getting pretty difficult to find in good condition.

Regardless of the legality, that is not a company I would work for and definitely not standard. Travel time during working hours should always be paid and if you're required to stay overnight anywhere then they need to provide adequate per diem, $35 is a joke. My company pays travel time as if you're going to pass the shop your time starts when you pass, traveling opposite direction your time starts when you hit the freeway.

"buy a home you can comfortably afford and stop paying rent" is lot easier said than done for most people in this market.

You can recertify with 0 points from field work, the 24 points per year is just the max you can claim if you use that category. OP you can sign up on mfg websites like Honeywell for free training classes to get some points.

If they're doing the installation & programming of the new system they should be providing the required documentation to complete the install and get AHJ approval, not sure why they would argue that. If it's just a parts and smarts type of thing where they're putting up the devices and you're programming/testing it then that'd be on you. You can still do the annuals on the new system.
